Minimalist food photography is the easiest of capturing food photos for me. But it may not be everyone's first choice of capturing a beautiful dish. The most easiest way to capture a Minimalism photo is to focus on the main hero of the composition or the food itself and avoid excessive use of props.

“Minimum use of Texture, Color, Object and Shape can create the austere simplicity to bring forth a distinctive visual experience.

Props are important in food photos. But sometime break free from prop reliance and just focusing on the beautiful food can create a stunning photo.

Here are some of the tips I am sharing which you can follow when you will be try to capture a beautiful minimalist food photo.

Tip 1: Negative Space

Allow your negative space around the main subject to attract the audience's eyes towards the hero of the composition.

Tip 2: Limited Props

Use minimum props for shoot. Backdrop, one plate, one bowl, one spoon and linen / napkin will be sufficient.

Tip 3: Layers & Tight Crop

Tight crop your image to create tension! Then guide viewer's focus to the texture and layers of your food.
